sunday tour

On the seventh day even god rested, so we headed out towards the sea instead of to our working site today. We took the road towards Albenga which is 32 km and takes about an hour, cause it is winding itself up and down colle del san bernardino. Cold up there and rainy and wind turbines. Very impressive view it will be when the sun is shining and with clear weather, maybe even to the mediterranean sea? The mountain ridge is also dividing Piemonte from Liguien, and down at the ligurian side, the flower riviera, the streets are lined with orange and mandarine trees. That got us inspired to think about a totally different way of getting your morning orange juice.. go out into the garden and pick it yourself!!

It might be just too cold in Casario, we don't have olive trees either, but it might just be that the special micro climate in Casario allows for having one. Always worth a try anyway.

On the way down we had lunch at a little town and passed Albenga during siesta time. The beaches are deserted except for the very few surfers who took advantage of the big surf today.

On the way back via Imperia we had to stop at a 'do-it-yourself' shop and check out the offers. The catch of the day is a garden tool. gotta prepare the ground for that orange tree!!
