for the whole time we thought we'd have a big solar system to warm the house and supplement it with a water connected 'open' fire place. burning wood. but we had advice that this would not be enough, the house being as big as it is. next we thought to supplement with a pellets system, easy, convenient and there are sale places here everywhere. now we are not so sure anymore, maybe we want to have a wood burning system instead.. every day three big tractors have been going up into the woods now for the last week or so, and come back loaded with so much wood each it would be enough to warm a house for a few years. all the neighbours seem to have wood and staple lots of it. only the cleaning up of the surrounding woods seems to deliver so much that we need to think hard what the best choice will be..
