today paolo michelis, our direttore di lavori, came to inspect the work again. there has been a dispute how to strenghten the vaults between him and our building impresario, and felice had to take off some of the concrete he and his men had put on the roof last week. but apart from that hickup there also has been progress, the new layer of timber has arrived and we expect the gang in full force tomorrow to put it into place... there has not been much time for relaxing and we still are longing to go to the beach one day maybe, or lay in the hammock and just let the soul wander..
