Even though we sometimes think things are going slow here in Casario with our 'little' house renovation project, once in a while we get to tick off a thing from our list, and that is really quite a fabulous feeling.
Today it was the making of a hole under the door to the cantina and digging a trench for the waste water pipe. We are lucky we have connection to the communal waste water treatment (wonder if I can get them to produce biogas?), but new piping and connections needs to be laid.
The big job was done by a neighbour who has a little caterpillar digging machine, but lots still had to be done by hand, and the cantina was the cow stable, so the floor is quite laden with old cow droppings. Hard to breathe there. Niklas did a fabulous job making a trench in there.
One day we’ll have to get half a meter of floor out of there, any volunteers want to come digging? Sometime next year, first takers!!
